CLAIR HELEN
DESIGNER - AARLI X CLAIR

In 2016 Clair completed her studies and obtained a Bachelor of Fashion from Whitehouse Institute of Design, Sydney. Clair was the Whitehouse Student of the Year for 2016. After graduating from the Whitehouse Institute of Design, she was selected by the Producer of the film “Tana” to design her dress for the 2017 Academy Awards Ceremony which is also known as the Oscars. She subsequently was awarded a competitive internship with the Jibs life in New York, to work alongside and be inspired by some incredible mentors.

Clair works with Aboriginal Tiwi fabrics that are hand-made from a local Tiwi women’s group of artists and designers called Bima Wear located in Wurrumiyanga, on Bathurst Island in the Northern Territory (NT). Clair drapes the fabric and improvises the silhouettes through the position of the prints, adding yarn embroidery to creating her own signature style. She wants to empower Indigenous communities through ethical sourcing of materials for fashion.

CHRISTINA FISCHER - ACCESSORIES DESIGNER

A concept more than a label; CHRISTINA FISCHER aims to create a new way of artisanal craftsmanship with the ultimate goal of a sustainable and responsible fashion industry. With a minimalistic aesthetic and a forte of working with leather in up-cycling and redesign, CHRISTINA FISCHER works determined to create androgynous sustainable fashion solutions, for conscious minded people. Staying true to her Scandinavian roots and minimalistic approach makes her creations trans-seasonal with longevity and life cycle in mind.
Using recycled leather in her collection, she allows leather that is already in circulation and has outlived its original purpose, to get a new life whilst reducing waste. Each particular leather garment has been sourced from charity shops all around Europe. By supplementing her upcycled creations with certified organic cotton and eco-friendly swing tags, she takes her label one step closer towards her goal of a more sustainable fashion industry.
With a background in graphic design and more than 7 years of experience working with upcycled fashion, Christina Fischer established her namesake label in 2014, and launched her first collection in February 2015. Christina Fischer herself is hands on in every single part of the process – from designing to producing. Every piece is handcrafted in Denmark, Scandinavia, with the highest of standards in materials and aesthetics.

SCREEN PRINTING TECHNIQUES

Screen printing is a classic, and lasting, way to do t-shirt printing. It’s the most popular and often the most economical way to embellish your tees. To create a screen printed t-shirt, OCC breaks each colour of your design into individual screens. Then overlay each individual screen over your garment to lay that ink colour. Each design is completed. OCC screen printing can use any combination of colours with any colour t-shirt. OCC prints across all mediums and will complete your garments with efficient turnaround times.
